A Florida creep stole the identity of a man with dementia to purchase a $40,000 set of new teeth and a nearly $10,000 puppy, according to reports.

Timothy Powell, 52, of Plantation, Florida, told investigators that he was recruited by crooks who urged him to have his rotted teeth replaced with pearly white implants so that he would look better for future scams, WFTV reported.

Powell then purchased the identity of an ailing 80-year-old man through the dark web, according to the news outlet.

The scheme was discovered by the victim’s caretaker when she noticed that the man received two hefty bills from a South Florida dental clinic.

“I never heard about anything like that,” the victim’s brother, Jake Brenner, told the outlet. “It’s kind of different.”

“I don’t know how they go about catching people like that, but I’m glad they did,” Brenner said.

In addition to the new teeth, investigators say Powell used the stolen cash to buy a French bulldog puppy.

Police say Powell also made large cash withdrawals from another victim’s account.

Authorities are on the hunt for a possible second suspect in the scheme.
