Professional-cop group Blue Lives Matter is petitioning Mayor de Blasio and Gov. Cuomo to overturn a “disgraceful” Manhattan group board determination to not honor the primary NYPD officer killed within the Iraq Battle with a avenue renaming.

The group launched the petition on following a narrative within the Sunday Publish that Group Board 1 rejected a ceremonial avenue renaming for Employees Sgt. Jimmy McNaughton, a 27-year-old Military Reservist whose life was reduce brief by a sniper’s bullet in August 2005.

As of Saturday greater than 5,200 individuals had signed the petition.

The Tribeca-based transit cop’s fellow officers and household lobbied to “co-name” West Broadway between Lispenard and Canal streets “James McNaughton Means.” However Group Board 1 voted down the proposal final month.

McNaughton’s dad, Invoice, 63, suspects among the board members are anti-cop and anti-military.

“It’s disgraceful,” Blue Lives Matter founder Joseph Imperatrice instructed The Publish, saying “a tiny gesture would imply a lot for the household.”
